Mohiuddin International Girls College, UK

Women in the UK, predominantly from second/third generation immigrant families, often leave school with very few qualifications and as a result find themselves struggling to compete in the employment market. Mohiuddin Trust has felt compelled to look towards sponsoring educational projects targeted particularly at girls (of all races and creeds) to help overcome this inequality.
In this regard Mohiuddin Trust has recently purchased a premises in Burnley (Lancashire) planned to serve as a further education college focussing especially on girls in and around the northern region.
The building has been purchased for £2 million pounds and will ensure all essential required facilities are in place. This project will however, need additional funding to make it fit for its proposed purpose as Mohiuddin International Girls College. We expect this to become a centre of excellence for the type and nature of courses offered.
Admissions
The focus of MIGC is to educate and empower women irregardless of their age, colour, creed or social stature, with this in mind Mohiuddin Trust has considered all possibilites of ensuring college fees are kept minimal. For full-time boarding students the fees will be £4,000 per annum (fully inclusive of boarding, food and tuition), whereas tuition fees for full-time day students will be kept at £2,500 per annum.
Academic classes and related vocational courses are planned to commence in 2010. Applications for admissions are currently being considered (download application form here). For further information visit the college website or call 01282 835 245 or email enquiries@migc.org.uk.
